Lush Karma Komba Solid Shampoo Brings Good Karma to Your Hair
By jenf66
Lush is well known for their bubble bars and bath melts. The most recent Lush product that I have had the pleasure to try is one of their shampoo bars. Yes, you read me correctly, a shampoo bar. I was a bit skeptical to trade in my regular liquid shampoo for a bar, but since I was lucky enough to receive one as a gift so I thought I would give it a try.
I received the Lush Karma Komba Solid Shampoo bar in a gift basket full of lovely Lush products from a dear friend for Christmas. Little did she know that she was changing my shampoo routine forever. The Karma Komba shampoo bar is a round, green bar that weighs in at just less than two ounces. It looks like a hockey puck that is completely made from green sprinkles.
I have been using this shampoo bar daily since receiving it almost a month ago. Although it is a bit pricey at close to $10, it does last a very long time as the bar is less than half used. The smell of this shampoo bar is just wonderful. It has a very clean citrus scent with undertones of sensual patchouli. The scents blend well together and do not overpower your senses.
I did not expect to like the Karma Komba Solid Shampoo nearly as much as I do. I was expecting that it would clean my hair okay, but with minimal lather and average results. Boy was I wrong. There is nothing at all average about this shampoo bar. The lather is amazing and it makes my hair squeaky clean. My hair is normal to oily and this product works well to keep my hair clean and lightly conditioned without weighing it down. After my straight hair air dries it is extremely soft, bouncy, and shiny. I couldn’t ask for better results.
The benefits of this shampoo are immense. Other than the obvious benefits of being gentle enough to use everyday, great lather, and an incredible scent the Lush Karma Komba Solid Shampoo is also easily portable, a good detangler, and good for the environment. This product is handmade from mostly natural and organic ingredients, is preservative free, and is not tested on animals.
Lush sells an accessory shampoo bar tin to make keeping your bar in top condition easy. I find that using an elevated soap dish works just as well for home use. However if you do a lot of traveling you may want to invest in one of the tins. The tins sell for around $6, but you can get one free with the purchase of two solid shampoos.
I highly recommend the Lush Karma Komba Solid Shampoo bars for their portability, endurance, performance, and their incredible smell. If you don’t like citrus scents don’t worry because Lush makes 15 other solid shampoos so you are bound to find one that is right for you.
